  • keyboard_arrow_rightRekatone JAGA is a lightweight programme provided by rekatone, which will allow rekatone to monitor the progress of the project and act as a trusted third-party payment manager to collect, hold and disburse funds deposited by the property owner with rekatone to the interior professional. It utilises a mobile application (rekatone) that aims to improve the trust and transparency of the renovation project between the property owner and the interior professional.
    keyboard_arrow_rightDaily site progress updates with photos and comments will be updated by the interior professional through the rekatone mobile application.
    keyboard_arrow_rightThe progress milestone and payment schedule will be updated and managed through the Rekatone mobile application. The Rekatone mobile application will provide notification on the collection, holding, and/or release of payment according to the progress milestone and payment schedule, subject to the terms of the Rekatone Jaga Terms of Use.
  • The property owner who engages interior professional through rekatone for their housing renovation should enter into a contract with the interior professional or sign the quotation issued by the interior professional. The interior professional and the property owner have to login to the rekatone mobile application and such signed contract/quotation shall be submitted by the property owner to rekatone through the rekatone mobile application within 7-days of the signing of contract/quotation to activate rekatone JAGA.
    The contract/quotation between the property owner and the interior professional will define each party’s duties, the progress milestone, the payment schedule for each stage and other detailed terms of the renovation work. All project monitoring, payment, daily progress report and communication can be performed through the rekatone mobile application.
    keyboard_arrow_rightUpon the property owner agreeing to our Rekatone Jaga Terms of Use, a contractual relationship will also be formed between the property owner, the interior professional and Rekatone as a project monitoring and payment manager.
    keyboard_arrow_rightOnce the property owner makes the first tranche of payment to Rekatone according to the payment schedule, the design and renovation work can securely start with confidence and trust.

    keyboard_arrow_rightWhen the progress milestone has been achieved, the interior professional may claim the agreed payment through the Rekatone mobile application. The mobile application will instantly notify the property owner such claim made by the interior professional.
    keyboard_arrow_rightThe property owner will grant the payment to the interior professional by consent and agree to the claim made by the interior professional, whereas Rekatone will release such amount to the interior professional in the agreed manner and/or in accordance with the Rekatone Jaga Terms of Use, all through the Rekatone mobile application.
    keyboard_arrow_rightFor each tranche of payment in accordance with the payment milestone, Rekatone will deduct 5% of such payment as retention sum. At the completion of the renovation, Rekatone will have held 5% of the contract sum as the total retention sum.
    keyboard_arrow_rightRekatone will not undertake any responsibility to negotiate, interfere and decide the progress milestone or any terms agreed between the interior professional and the property owner in the contract/quotation.

    Legally binding contract
    keyboard_arrow_rightYou can sit back and unwind without any worry of your renovation project knowing that your renovation work can be monitored through the Rekatone mobile application and your payment is securely managed by Rekatone under the Rekatone Jaga Terms of Use, which constitutes a legally binding contract between the property owner, the interior professional and Rekatone.
    Payment Management
    keyboard_arrow_rightYour payment is managed through the Rekatone mobile application. keyboard_arrow_rightThe progress milestone and payment schedule will be updated and managed through the rekatone.com mobile application. The rekatone.com mobile application will provide notification on the collection, holding, and/or release of payment according to the progress milestone and payment schedule, subject to the terms of the rekatone.com JAGA Terms of Use. keyboard_arrow_rightIn the event of any legal dispute, all the funds deposited with Rekatone will remain untouched with Rekatone. Rekatone will not be obliged to pay any funds to either party. Any transfer of funds will only be made by Rekatone in accordance with the mutual agreement between the property owner and the interior professional or if Rekatone receives a valid court order directing Rekatone the release of funds.
    Financial Guarantee
    keyboard_arrow_rightIn the case where the interior professional is declared as insolvent or bankrupt or is wound up or liquidated by the court of Malaysia and is unable to complete the renovation work, Rekatone will guarantee the property owner a sum to cover his loss. Such guarantee will be capped at the maximum amount of RM100,000 or 50% of the total contract sum that has been released to the interior professional, whichever lower, and calculated based on the following formula: A x X% Where A : 50% of the total contract sum that has been released to the interior professional. X % : The proportion of the project that has not been completed by the interior professional (determined by Rekatone).
    Insurance coverage up to 1 million

  • It is free of charge for using rekatone JAGA
  • A property owner or a person duly authorised by the property owner is eligible to use rekatone JAGA upon fulfilling the conditions below:
    keyboard_arrow_rightEngages with the interior professional recommended through rekatone;
    keyboard_arrow_rightHas a project with minimum project value of RM100,000;
    keyboard_arrow_rightEnters into a binding contract with or signs the quotation issued by the interior professional to carry out the work;
    keyboard_arrow_rightSubmits the signed contract/quotation containing the agreed payment schedule, progress milestone and other terms and conditions to rekatone through the rekatone mobile application within 7 days from the signing date; and
    keyboard_arrow_rightFill in and submits any information regarding the project as requested by rekatone via the rekatone.com mobile application.
  • Please inform our Customer Relation personnel that you intend to use Rekatone Jaga to assist your project monitoring and facilitation service when making your renovation request. We will ensure that your preference to use this service is known by the interior professional who will take on your renovation project. We will be more than happy to explain in detail to you via live chat or phone.
  • Three parties - the property owner, the interior professional, and Rekatone will be bound by the Rekatone Jaga Terms of Use, in which Rekatone will be acting as the project monitoring and payment manager.
  • The property owner or the interior professional may terminate the Rekatone Jaga Terms of Use upon mutual agreement of the property owner and the interior professional at any time provided that a written notice of termination with a cause is provided to Rekatone. Rekatone will allocate the funds in its possession according to the terms in the termination notice, subject to any deductions of payment that may be owed to Rekatone under the Rekatone Jaga Terms of Use.
  • No. Property owner has the discretion on whether to participate in Rekatone Jaga.
  • We accept all types of residential and commercial property for the participation.
  • Rekatone provides bank account information to be used for the project facilitation service under Rekatone Jaga. It is a regular bank account registered under Enotaker Technology Sdn. Bhd., the owner of Rekatone. We do not provide any other payment options.
  • Variation Order(s) are typically not covered under Rekatone Jaga. However, a VO may be issued if it is mutually agreed by both the interior professional and the property owner, provided that the signed copy of the VO quotation is uploaded and submitted via the Rekatone Jaga mobile application and the VO fee is paid through the same.
  • Rekatone only acts as a project monitoring and facilitation manager for the property owner’s renovation project through the Rekatone mobile application. Hence, Rekatone’s duty is limited to monitor the progress of the project and act as a trusted third-party payment manager to collect, hold and release funds, which is subject to the property owner’s consent. Rekatone will not at any time undertake the role to mediate or adjudicate any dispute between the property owner and the interior professional.
