Project Description

‘To-gather’ intends to create a safe communal space for the residents to connect with not only nature but also with one another - through an array of facilities just moments away. Sarawak in general and Kuching in particular, is expected to experience a rise in life expectancy, population and elderly citizens. In response, a growing demand for improved facilities and amenities, efficient infrastructure and transportation systems, as well as higher standards of housing to enhance quality of life, well-being, and health. To address these needs, the project aims to create a multi-generational housing community that enhances the quality of life, wellbeing and health of elderly. ‘Co-living’, a theme that emphasizes shared spaces resulting in a sense of communal living, is infused in all aspects in order to cater to the identified issues. Sustainability is embedded through the use of passive design strategies and green spaces, to reduce environmental impact while promoting long-term resilience.
