Gallery Grove

Gallery Grove

Project Description

This house is designed for an artist who lives with their spouse and two children. The main focus of the design is to build a home that not only provides comfort for daily living but also serves as a private gallery and studio. The design intends to blur the line between living and showcasing art, allowing the family and visitors to experience art as a part of everyday life. The form and structure are influenced by the gallery concept, integrating voids, natural light, and layered spatial arrangements. The roof design, featuring louvers and polycarbonate, controls natural lighting and ventilation. Large glass panels allow for visual connections while also functioning as exhibition panels. The interplay of voids, light, and greenery reflects the idea of an evolving space where art, nature, and living unite — forming a “grove” that nurtures creativity and provides both openness and retreat.
