Right smack in the city center, the design of this workplace gives the feeling of “Reliable & Warm”. “Reliable” was chosen as one of the elements in the design because it is an asset management company. Raw stone and thick wood were used for the entrance arch and the reception area to create a feeling of “reliable”. Dark colours were also used to further strengthen the “reliable” atmosphere upon entering.
Internally, a lot of wood elements were used to create warmness – especially at the pantry area and the open discussion area. Employees can destress and refresh themselves at this warm and cosy areas – a happy team is a productive team.
The meeting room is another space that should be paid attention to. It comes with contemporary lightings and a TV fitted nicely to the writing board. The medium tone wooden table top with metal legs created a contrast to the design and draws attention.
This office adapts a complete open space office concept where there is no room even for the managers. Such design can facilitate spontaneous micro-meetings among the workforce. Besides improving the relationships among each other, ideas and solutions might be generated through micro-meetings too, hence, increased productivity.
